SELF-LOATHING FEST

I am so tired of humanity's (and especially Whites') love affair with self-loathing.

Blaming ourselves for the existence of climate change, which has been going on for five-and-a-half billion years (gee, the same age as the Earth, imagine that), and is, in fact, inevitable on any world which has an atmosphere, is a non-starter. All of this supposedly "unprecedented" weather phenomena that we are enduring was indeed precedented, even routine, during my long-ago childhood. Read Michael Crichton's "State Of Fear."

Flagellating ourselves for doing what was necessary to tame a continent and transform it into a major advanced world power in only a few centuries achieves nothing, either. If we're ever going to free ourselves from the bonds of this planet, and scatter ourselves in a species-saving diaspora, we'd better stop taking so long to advance. Read Robert A. Heinlein's "The Logic of Empire."

I suppose that, in four-and-a-half billion years, when our Milky Way galaxy collides with the Andromeda galaxy, if we humans are still as silly as we are now (a horrifying thought), we will find a way to blame ourselves for that, too.
